The Colorado Trail
 
On August 26, 2003, two Ultrarunners set out to attempt a new speed record for covering the 468 mile distance of the Colorado Trail traversing the state from Denver to Durango. Richard Durnan was there supporting and photographing the attempt which resulted in Hal Koerner setting a new record of 9 days, 10 hours, and 19 minutes.
