Also known as the Gulf of California, the Sea of Cortes
lies between Baja California and the west coast of mainland
Mexico. On December 4th, 2000 Richard Durnan and
Cynthia Billings set off on a 14 day adventure that
included 7 days of self supported sea kayaking. The turquoise
waters, coast ,and coves of Isla Espiritu Santo, Northeast
of La Paz was the destination. A quick ride in a Panga
boat put the paddlers down in one of the most spectacular
